Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Careerz Remote Talent ("Careerz", "we", "us") collects through careerz.online, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email info@careerz.online.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you book a discovery call or contact us, we collect what you enter: your name, email, company, the role you are hiring for, the number of hires, your phone number (optional) and the time you choose for the call.
- Emails and calls. If you email us or speak with us, we keep the content of that correspondence and any notes from the call.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records basic request data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
- Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc., on our website pages. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you view and actions you take on the site, such as requesting a discovery call. This helps us measure how well our Facebook ads work and show them to people likely to be interested.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and schedule your discovery call.
- To prepare for and follow up on that call, including sending a quote or shortlist you asked for.
- To keep the site secure and working, for example by blocking spam submissions.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook, using the website activity described above.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes above:
- Render, which hosts this website.
- Calendly, which runs the booking calendar on our pages and receives the details you enter when you book a call, under Calendly's Privacy Notice.
- Google Workspace, which we use for email.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typeface used on the site; your browser requests the font file directly from Google.
- Meta Platforms, Inc., which receives website activity through the Meta Pixel as described above, under Meta's Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and to manage any working relationship that follows. If we do not work together, we delete your enquiry details within 24 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email info@careerz.online and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including under US state privacy laws and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may have additional rights, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
To limit advertising measurement, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or change your ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people at Careerz who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
International transfers
Careerz works with US clients from South Africa, and our service providers may store data in the United States or other countries. By contacting us, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
